I grew up playing sports—from tackle football in elementary school to volleyball and pretty much every other sport available in high school. Eventually competition started to overshadow sportsmanship, and I stepped away from the games I loved. Everything changed when I discovered the PWHL in 2023, a league I felt truly reflects my values. Inspired, I learned to skate from scratch and joined hockey, finding a welcoming community that shared the joy and dedication. I later joined a softball team, the most inclusive and supportive sports environment I’d ever been part of. Those experiences inspired me to start the Lovebug League, so I could share the same joy, passion, and sense of community that have shaped my own journey.
